Prayer Cranes for Pentecost Origami Cranes are traditionally created as a prayer for Peace and/or Healing. In these troubled times of economic uncertainty, war and a growing global food crisis, there are many both in our lives and in the world who are in need of our prayers. Congregation members are encouraged to open their hearts to the Holy Spirit and to pray for those to whom the Spirit draws your attention. Please take some origami paper from the vestibule, write a private prayer and using the following the instructions fold it into a crane. Please bring your prayer cranes to church and place them in the offering plate so they can be blessed. The prayer cranes we have received by May 10th will be strung together and hung in the church to symbolize our prayers carried on the wind of the Hoy Spirit at Pentecost (May 11th).

You are encouraged to make as many prayer cranes as the Spirit moves you. Please also invite family and friends to contribute their prayer cranes. For additional paper or help with folding cranes please contact Davidson or ask Betty Hearn or Sam Phillips (both expert crane folders).
