Welcome to Transfiguration!
On Sunday mornings we gather to celebrate God at three different worship services. Each service has the following in common: We listen to the Message of God, we pray and we celebrate Holy Communion. Then we gather for fellowship at the coffee hour.
Each service offers its unique approach to worship:
In the 8:00 Eucharist we use the Rite I text with its more traditional language. This quiet service thrives with a smaller community.
The 9:30 Family Service is a half-hour service designed for families with young children and those who like to be around families with young children. This service includes a child-focused story time, singing and movement. This short service is a great way to be introduced (or reintroduced) to the worship of God.
Our 10:30 Inter-Generational Eucharist is a more typical church service, adapted to be inclusive of worshippers of all ages. We use the Rite II text and are led in both traditional and contemporary song by the choir. Sometimes we present scripture through Drama. Children, as well as adults, participate in ministries at this service with a special “Chapel Time” program for children Grades 4 and up. A “Toddler Zone” is available for families along the stained glass windows in the Church sanctuary.
